The use of copper has long been recognised, although the absorption rate from bracelets, etc is in question. To overcome this difficulty, a copper complex has been formulated and mixed with a penetrating base of mucopolysacchourides. This method allows the penetration of copper directly to the painful joint, thus reducing the risk of copper toxicity whilst still providing a therapeutic dose. Additionally, heating ingredients have been mixed into the mucopolysacchourides to improve localised blood flow to the tender area on application.
